I GOT THIS PROJECTOR AND ITS OK NOT GREAT BUT WORKS GOOD FOR THE PRICE. THE PROBLAM I HAVE WITH IT IS THAT I ONLY HAD IT FOR 2 WEEKS AND USED IT MAYBE FOR A FEW HOURS A DAY AND THE LAMP HAS ALREADY BLOWN OUT. SO DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY A REPLACEMENT LAMP. IT SAYS IT SHOULD LAST 1000 HOURS BUT I NEVER EVEN GOT CLOSE. LET ME KNOW AT macone_24@yahoo.com

I ordered my torpedo based on price of the unit, $119 total, and bulbs and also three reviews at Heartland America. Then I read some reviews that said this projector is the worse piece of crap ever built by the hands of mankind! But some reviews said it’s not that bad if viewed in a dark room and your not too picky. I’m not too picky. Some said they had installed a 50watt bulb and got a better picture. So I did not cancel my order,I’m not too picky. It arrived friday and I connected it to my cox cable box, set it 80 inches from my 29 year old Kloss Nova Beam screen crossed my fingers and powered up. Even though my living room is not very dark the picture was not as bad as I had expected and you know I am not too picky. The cooling fan motor is kind of loud but not near as much as my old Kodak reel projector. This projector is only a backup for my Hi Def dlp and maybe for installation in the bedroom to let the dlp rest some. I will install a 50watt bulb on monday but unless there is a big improvement may not leave it in. I figure the diff in price between the two bulbs is only around one buck,so why didn’t the manufacturer go with the 50? Hope the power supply can hack it and nothing else will be harmed. So the bottom line is I am happy with the torpedo and did I tell you I’m not too picky? You don’t get a filet mignon for the price of a hot dog!
