BenQ MW621ST Projector Review

One of the many short throw projectors from BenQ is the MW621ST. This device features 3000 ANSI lumens, a 13000:1 contrast ratio, and WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution. Today, the writers from Ecoustics released their review of this particular device. The writers were happy to see that the device comes with a long lamp life. This makes maintenance checks less frequent and ultimately reduces the cost of ownership. The short throw distance was also a praised quality. This allows the projector to display onto large screens in small rooms. The image quality wasn’t the best however. The writers noticed it suffered from the rainbow effect and small text was often blurred. In the end, the writers stated, “The BenQ MW621ST is less expensive than the Editors’ Choice ViewSonic PJD6683ws, but the MW621ST’s data-image quality is not as good. The Viewsonic PJD6683ws also has a slightly larger selection of ports, though it doesn’t have a port for connecting a USB thumb drive or Wi-Fi adapter. If you need a WXGA short-throw projector with a USB Type A port, you may want to go with the MW621ST—just be careful to use slightly larger text than usual in your presentations.”
