Small Home Theater Provides Big Display

Not all home theaters have to be big, grand rooms. This was made apparent when one owner showed off their moderately sized theater to Electronic House. The room only measures 18 feet by 12 feet but it is still big enough to seat 6 comfortably. The theater is wired for sound with the help of some wall mounted Jamo speakers, powered by a Pioneer Elite SC-61 receiver. The designers of the room were able to fit a 112 inch screen onto the 12 foot wall and they used a JVC DLA-X35 projector. This model is capable of displaying 1300 ANSI lumens, a 50000:1 contrast ratio, and HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The project to convert the room to a home theater cost the owner about $13000.
