BenQ MW519 Projector Review

One of the new projectors to come from BenQ is the MW519. This device features 2800 ANSI lumens, a 13000:1 contrast ratio, and WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution. Today, the writers from PC Magazine released their review of this particular device. The writers were very impressed by the projector’s image quality, especially while using the HDMI port. The new Eco mode is probably the best feature though due to its ability to reduce energy consumption and extend the lamp life. The projector is not perfect however as the writer noted some rainbow effect problems and the audio was below average. But in the end the writers concluded by stating, “The BenQ MW519 is a likable projector for classroom use, with good data image quality, especially over an HDMI connection, and power-saving features that can extend lamp life. It’s bright enough for use in mid-sized rooms, although its audio is faint. It is 3D capable, but outfitting an entire class with 3D glasses might prove a tough sell to the school administrators. It’s best for use mostly with data presentations; there are better choices if video and audio quality are priorities.”
