Fête Des Lumière Festival Features Urban Flippers

Watching digital graffiti on the faces of buildings is always a fun show to watch. Developers at the 2011 Fête des Lumière festival decided to take the art form a step farther by creating an interactive pin ball show. The project is called Urban Flipper and it features a game that is projected onto the Célestins Theater and uses the building’s windows, pillars, and other features as the game’s bumpers and other obstacles. A player controls the game’s flippers by pressing respective buttons at a control station. Between games, the display shows forests, vines, and even submerges the building under water.
