ViewSonic Unveils PJD7383i Projector for InfoComm

This week is the beginning of InfoComm, one of the biggest exhibitions of the latest technology. One of the many companies that will be displaying this week is ViewSonic. Today, the company unveiled the first of several new products, the PJD7381i interactive projector. The company did not release a lot of information, mainly because this product is not going to be released until the end of the summer. It features 2500 ANSI lumens and can display XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. But the main feature is the included light pen that allows users to control the projector and the computer by touching the screen. It also allows teachers to highlight, draw, or alter sections in their lessons easily and on the spot. “Interactivity is the key to engaged and effective learning, and we are proud to support the development of educational technology with the PJD7383i interactive projector,” said Erik Willey, director of product marketing for ViewSonic. “By offering educators and presenters a flexible, fully connected solution at a fraction of the cost of traditional interactive whiteboards, we hope to bring interactivity to more classrooms and boardrooms across the US.” When the PJD7381i gets released it is expected to retail for $1149.
