If you are looking for a bright pico projector then you might be interested in the new BeamBox Evolution R-2. This device is the company’s brightest projector to date with 40 ANSI lumens and a 200:1 contrast ratio. It also has the highest resolution, which is a native SVGA (800 x 600) resolution. The main feature though is its integrated media player and 1GB hard drive. This allows users to play video, photos, and audio with out the need to connect to an external content source. However if you do need to connect, the R-2 comes with an AV jack, a mini USB port, and a RGB port as well. There is even an SD card slot for good measure. While the R-2 is capable of displaying wirelessly, it is not known if the projector comes with an internal battery or requires a power cord. BeamBox has these projectors available now for about $360.
