Christie is a global leader in digital cinema. Today they announced that Great Escapes Theaters recently purchased 174 digital projectors for their theaters. The theater chain is the 14th largest in North America and has installed Christie projectors in the past for the premier of Avatar. The company plans to finish the installation and have the new projectors installed before the summer movie rush. “Thanks to its successful expansion strategy, Great Escapes has quickly become an important player in the exhibition industry,” said Craig Sholder, Vice-President, Entertainment Solutions, Christie. “Because the new Christie Solaria series of digital projectors are upgradeable to 4K digital cinema, Great Escapes is ensuring that its audiences will continue to enjoy the latest generation of quality, cutting-edge entertainment upon which it has built its reputation.”
