Hewlett Packard (HP) recently announced their upcoming Companion projector, which is supposed to be an excellent accessory for laptops. However, according to a recent interview with Monty Wong, vice president and manager of personal computing system group at HP Taiwan, a new projector will emerge. The exciting part though is that the projector will be integrated into HP laptops. Mr. Wong stated that the projector will be mounted on top of the screen where the webcam usually is. The company still plans to release the Companion as well as several other stand-alone mini projectors through out the year. Unfortunately, he did not release any specifications about the projectors at this time, but the promise of having a pico projector in a laptop on the consumer market will be a world’s first.
