Barco is the global leader in digital cinema projection. Today, the company is proud to announce that their DP-3000 projector has been selected to screen Cane Toads: The Conquest at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The documentary is the first Australian digital 3D film at the festival. Last year was the festival’s first 3D entry, U2 3D, which was a complete success. “Sundance is about platforming new talent, supporting artists, and helping filmmakers tell their stories,” continued Calderon. “And this year, we’re showing a creative 3D project, and I’m grateful that it’s happening with the support of Barco. The success in our presentation will manifest itself not only in the quality of the image, but in the quality of the people we work with. We are very fortunate to have Barco’s technology and staff to support 3D at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.” The DP-3000 is the company’s top cinema projector. The projector features a 2000:1 contrast ratio, 30000 ANSI lumens, and a 2K HD (2048 x 1080) resolution.
