Mint Sputnik Projector Concept

The space race was one of the turning points in the USA. The start of the race was when Russia launched the world’s first orbiting satellite called Sputnik. Today, the designers from Yanko Design have released a new concept device called the Mint Sputnik. This device features a pocket projector that is looks exactly like the original satellite. The ball holds a mini projector and can display images onto walls or screens. Unfortunately the designers have not created any specifications for the Mint Sputnik, but it would be able to have a USB port, SD card slot, and a earphone jack for when the kids want to play quietly. The device will also support Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Zigbee as well. To add to the cuteness of this projector, the remote is actually a bulky control panel with a satellite transmitter that uses knobs and switches just like back in the 1957. The projector is designed to show movies and other content, but when not in use it can also be used as a digital clock and it will project the time onto the screen. There is no information yet if or when the projector will be available to the consumer public.
