Panasonic Prepares for 2010 Winter Olympics

This coming winter is the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. Panasonic is proud to announce that they have been selected to provide all the audio and visual equipment for the event. To make sure that every event and every angle is covered, Panasonic will be bringing the largest supply of AV equipment that the winter games have ever seen. Part of this is because this will also be the first time this event will be filmed and broadcasted in the HD format. To help make sure the games go with out incident, Panasonic will also be fitting the arenas with the latest in HD surveillance systems as well. Another major development is that Panasonic will provide the equipment for an HD video conference system that will allow athletes to talk to each other between towns. The system will be allow people in Whistler to talk and hear the athletes in Vancouver in HD. Panasonic has also released a short list of some of the equipment that will be used and included is 29 LED HDTVs, over 3000 regular HDTVs, 17 DLP projectors, and 1200 monitoring surveillance cameras.
