Sweatshoppe Creates Magic Paint Roller
One of the new art forms hitting the streets is digital graffiti. This type of art requires a digital projector that displays video, signs, images, and more onto any building, wall, or road that the artists want. The newest group to enhance this genre is the duo from Sweatshoppe. Their design uses a paint roller made from green LEDs and a camera. When the artist moves the roller over the side of the building, the camera tracks its movements and tells the computer to reveal specific sections of the projected image. The artist could easily unveil the entire image at one time or make some pictures or words with the paint roller. Sweatshoppe intends to market their video mapping technology as soon as they can refine it and give it a few more features and images to display.
