The owners of this home theater contacted the developers from Erskine Group to try and create a theater that was as grand as the scenic town they lived in. The only problem was that there was no bonus room or basement to put the theater in. So the developers and owners decided that they would have to gut an existing office room and removed everything including the stairs. When the room was rebuilt, it was capable of seating 12 adults spaced far enough so that each person had their faire share of space. The front row also has a love seat for the owners to enjoy when they are watching movies alone. The theater was equipped with a 12 foot wide Cinecurve screen from Stewart Filmscreen. This screen is THX certified and can also be adjusted to meet any aspect ratio. The projector that was selected was the Runco VX-22D, which features 1391 ANSI lumens, full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, and a 321:1 contrast ratio. The projector is also equipped to handle a 2.35:1 aspect ratio by having a motorized anamorphic lens attachment.
