NuVision Announces First Set of Projectors

NuVision is a high-end video display manufacturer. This past weekend at CEDIA, the company announced that they will be going into the projector industry for the first time and introduced three new projectors that will be released closer to the end of the year. The P1, P2 and P3 projectors all feature DLP display technology and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The P1 is the weakest of the three and will feature a UHP lamp and can project from two different throw distances. The P2 is the only model from this set to feature and LED lamp system. LEDs are the newest technology to be used in projectors. They produce less heat, run several times longer and are eco-friendly. The only downside is that they do not produce as much light as regular projectors. Lastly, the P3 projector, which feature 3-chip DLP display technology and features a high brightness due to its 300 watt UHP lamp. Unfortunately, the company did not announce how many lumens the lamp produced. One thing all these projectors have in common is that they are all capable of supporting anamorphic lenses in order to display a true 2.35:1 aspect ratio. The anamorphic lens stretches wide screen displays so that they will completely fill the screen instead of having distracting black bars above and below the screen. The P1 is expected to release before the end of the year while the P2 and P3 will release early in 2010. Their retail prices are suggested at $8999, $18999, and $36999, respectively.
