JVC Introduces Six New HD Projectors

JVC has created some of the best home theater and professional projectors available today. Recently, the company has announced that six new projectors will be joining their high quality line up. Three of these models are designed for JVC’s professional selection, while the other three are for home theater entertainment. All of these products feature the latest in 3-chip D-ILA display technology, which is JVC’s own patented display system. The three professional projectors are already available, while the home theater projectors are expected to release next month.
For the professional line, JVC is releasing the DLA-RS35, DLA-RS25, and DLA-RS15. All three models features the same HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 0.7” D-ILA display chip and range in brightness between 900 and 1000 ANSI lumens. The RS15 is the smaller of the units with a 32000:1 contrast ratio, while the RS25 has a significantly stronger 50000:1 contrast ratio. Even stronger still is the RS35 with a 70000:1 contrast ratio. These projectors feature a diverse connection panel including dual HDMI ports, a component, s-video, and a composite connection. The RS35 and RS25 also include a RGB connection for quick and easy access from your PC to your theater screen. The RS35, RS25, and RS15 are all available through JVC’s website as well as certified retailers and are priced at $9995, $7995, and $5495, respectively.
The home theater models are very similar to the projectors mentioned above. The DLA-HD990, DLA-HD950, and DLA-HD550 all feature HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and respective 70000:1, 50000:1, and 30000:1 contrast ratios. These projectors will also come with the same connection panels as the above projectors along with a 12V trigger for motorized screens or ceiling lifts. Unfortunately, the HD550 is the only projector who will not receive the trigger connection. These models feature a 120 Hz processor for reduced judder and to help smooth out fast moving scenes for sports or movies. These projectors are expected to release sometime between the end of September and beginning of October. The HD990 will retail for about $10000, the HD950 will be priced at $8000, and the HD550 will have a MSRP of $5000.
