Yesterday, news spread that Nikon was going to delay the release of their Coolpix S1000pj projector camera until October. Today, a PR representative from Nikon released this announcement, “The Nikon S1000pj camera actually is not delayed, and it’s on target for Sept 17th for a sales start date.” The projector will feature VGA (640 x 480) resolution, 10 ANSI lumens, and can project images up to 40 inches, diagonally. The camera features a 5x optical zoom, and can take pictures with 12.1 megapixels. There is also a 2.7-inch LCD screen on the back of the device for control and to get a big view of what you are pointing at. The S1000pj will retail for about $429.
