Fireplace Home Theater

fireplaceTheater_a1

When you think of a nice cozy fire, one of the last places you’d think of it being is in your home theater. But the home owners of this theater used the fireplace to create the setting for their theater instead. The designers from AcousticSmart were hired to build the home theater. The owners wanted to use the basement for the theater, but the major problem is that there was an existing fireplace on one of the walls. The fireplace was so nice it would have been a shame to cover it up. So instead the designers incorporated it to give the theater an old Victorian feel. The walls a ceiling feature hard wood paneling and the company’s personal soundproofing walls. Because the fireplace was out from the rest of the wall, the designers installed cabinets to store the owner’s DVD collection as well as most of the audio and video equipment. The 120 inch screen is covered by velvet drapes when not in use and is paired Marantz home theater projector.

Great Pic. Nice installation. I dont’ see any acoustic panels so I’m going to assume the whole wall is a panel?
