Digital Projection Announces Seven New TITAN Projectors

Last week if you went to InfoComm you may have seen the new Digital Projection there displaying all their new and exciting 3D projectors. Recently, the company announced that they will be releasing soon seven new projectors that were at the display. The new projectors are all part of the popular TITAN series and feature the latest in 3chip DLP display technology. Unfortunately, Digital Projection has not released a lot of information about these new models yet, but we do know they will all feature WUXGA (1920 x 1080) resolution, either a 2000:1 or a 4000:1 contrast ratio, and range in brightness between 3000 ANSI lumens and an impressive 12000 ANSI lumens. Several of the new models will also feature 3D capabilities and will include the company’s FastFream smear reduction and Dual Flash Processing, which supports the display of 60 Hz sources at frame rates up to 120 Hz. Mike Levi, President of Digital Projection said, “WUXGA displays are a vital next step in large screen resolution, as we have observed the expanding use of notebook and desktop computers adopting that resolution platform. WUXGA’s 16 x 10 native aspect ratio is an almost perfect meeting place for 1920 x 1080 and 1600 x 1200 sources to co-exist, as both can be displayed at their full native resolution, but with minimized un-used display area.” Levi continued, “We have experienced commercial customers in a number of vertical markets selecting WUXGA as the right platform for their next projector purchases, and we are excited to be revealing a wide array of powerful, efficient and responsible 3-chip WUXGA solutions that support those needs.” The release date and pricing for these new models have not been announced yet.
