BenQ Joybee GP1 Projector Uses Luminus Devices’ New PhlatLight PT-39 LED Chipset

LED technology is slowly starting to replace conventional lamps in projectors. Recently, Luminus Devices announced that their new PT-39 PhlatLight LED chipset was integrated into the BenQ Joybee GP1 pocket projector. The GP1 features SVGA (858 x 600) resolution, 100 ANSI lumens, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. This model has been one of the more popular models of its kind. The PT-39 chipset is specifically designed for projection systems and uses three differently colored LEDs (Red, Blue, and Green). “High-brightness levels and the ultra-reliable PhlatLight LEDs make the Joybee the projector of choice for business travelers and video game loyalists alike,” said Stephane Bellosguardo, Director of Product Marketing, Projection Display Business, Luminus Devices. “In addition to being reasonably priced at under $499, the Joybee offers unparalleled system reliability and super vibrant images enabled by PhlatLight LEDs.” The PT-39 chipset and the GP1 are currently on display this week at InfoComm.
