Lightspeed Design Donates DepthQ-WXGA Projector to ETC

Lightspeed Design is a worldwide leader in stereoscopic 3D technology. Recently they announced their participation in the Entertainment Technology Center. They company is donating their Depth Q-WXGA projector to the Center’s Consumer 3D Experience Lab. Chris Ward, President of Lightspeed Design, Inc., said, “The ETC is a well-designed facility and we appreciate the opportunity to participate with the donation of our projector. We hope this will assist in creating 3D standards and accelerating industry-wide discussions so that in the coming years, industry suppliers can support the consumer 3D experience with sustainable business models. We see this effort as a key element in the development of a thriving 3D ecosystem and look forward to supporting it in the future.” The Depth Q-WXGA features 2000 ANSI lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and HD (1280 x 720) resolution. It also uses DLP display technology that was provided by Texas Instruments.
