Christie Releases LW650 Projector

Yesterday you may have read about the release of the Christie LX400 projector at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. Today, Christie is announcing the release of a second brand new projector, the LW650. This model is features 6500 ANSI lumens, a WXGA (1366 x 800) resolution and a 2500:1 contrast ratio. The LW650 is designed primarily for high quality business and industry presentations, but it is also more than bright enough for large venue purposes as well. The main feature about the LW650 is its advanced lens shift technology, which allows the projector to be placed in challenging locations with out needing additional digital correction. The technology virtually guarantees that the image will always be in the center of the screen no matter how extreme the projector’s placement is. In addition to the lens-shift technology Christie has also developed six optional lenses, which have not been announced yet, that give the projector a wide range of throw distances. Also Christie plans to develop additional lenses for the LW650 later this year. As an added bonus, Christie has also given the LW650 a wide variety of convenience features like a split picture mode and a closed captioning feature. The LW650 is currently available through Christie; however, the retail price has not been released.
