AAXA Technologies P1 Projector Review

The AAXA P1 projector is quickly becoming one of the more popular pico projectors on the market. This model features 12 ANSI lumens, a VGA (640 x 480) resolution, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Recently, a writer from Slippery Brick was able to test the P1 to see if it is as good as people think. The writer liked the small size as well as the specs. The projector is only about the size of a cell phone and just as light. The P1 uses LED lamps instead of the basic halogen lamps. The LEDs allow the projector to be as small as it is as well as increase the projector’s lamp life to more than 30000 hours. The writers were also very impressed with how easy it was to use. The projector did not need to install any additional drivers into the writer’s mobile device. All the writer had to do was to connect the mobile device and turn the projector on. Unfortunately, one aspect the writer didn’t like was that the brightness level was really poor. Even in a moderately bright room the image would become blurry and difficult to see. Another downside was the integrated speaker system. The mini speakers were not that wonderful and the projector would be better with a mini jack in order to connect headphones or an external speaker system. The final verdict that the writer made was, “The P1 Pico Projector is very portable which will make it attractive to some users. The poor performance in anything other than nearly complete darkness will be a deal killer for many business users. The P1 Pico Projector isn’t ready to replace a full-size projector in most instances.”
