Sanyo PLV-Z3000 Projector Review

The Sanyo PLV-Z3000 is a fabulous home theater projector. It comes with 1200 ANSI lumens, a 65000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. Recently the writer from Pocket Lint released their review of the Z3000. The first thing they noticed was the same thing everyone else sees, the big ugly outside. This box design really doesn’t do the projector justice and those who judge based on looks are going to miss out. One of the best aspects of the Z3000 is the 19 dB noise level. This almost silent operation ensures that guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of the movie instead of the distracting sound of the projector. The display that the projector gives lives up to the full HD reputation. The major difference between this model and all the other HD models is that the Z3000 focuses on smooth motion. The Z3000 can refresh at a rate of 100 Hz and can intelligently create and insert its own video frames to prevent any blur during fast-moving scenes. If the writers had any problems about the Z3000 they must not have been severe enough because the writers did not mention any other major concerns or complaints. The final verdict was, “Sanyo has come up with a decent value projector ripe for those who want to create a mid-range home cinema. Its massive four high-definition feeds – more than on most similar projectors – lend it unusual versatility while its quiet operation and easy set-up make it an attractive product even to the tech-wary. Sharp, smooth and contrast-heavy HD images make this a great option for anyone wanting to take advantage of Blu-ray disc’s ability to go large.”
