Last month, you may have read about the NEC NP52 being released in Europe. Now NEC is announcing that the NP52 is being released in Asia as well. The NP52 features 2600 ANSI lumens, a 1600:1 contrast ratio, and a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. This portable projector weighs only 3.5 lbs and is small enough for easy traveling. To enhance the projector’s portability, the NP52 comes with a built in USB port that allows the user to use a flash drive instead of a computer. However if the user doesn’t need or want the USB port, the projector also comes with a RGB, composite and an s-video connection. The NP52 is not only versatile but quick and easy to use. The projector comes with a variety of features, like automatic focus and automatic signal detection, which allows the projector to finish setting up on its own while the user does other tasks for their presentation. The NP52 is expected to retail for just under $2000 and it’s only a matter of time before we see this model in the US.
