Digital Projection Provides Illumination to Grammy Museum

Digital Projection has something to celebrate about because recently they were selected to provide several projectors to the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles California. This museum opened in December 08 and has gotten rave reviews from thousands of guests. The facility has four floors of exhibits and most of them share the museum’s them of “interactivity.” The most talked about exhibit is the museum’s Crossroads Table. Four Digital Projection iVision 20sx+ XB projectors are mounted above it and shine down information by using reflective mirrors. The table has touch recognition and provides information about artists, albums, and many more Grammy associated information. The table also has headphones that guests can use to listen to music or hear narration of the text that is displayed on the table. Another fun exhibit uses a dVision 30-1080p XB as a rear projection unit to display onto a US map cutout. Visitors can prompt sound and video files distinct to different musical hot spots around the country by way of touch-screens in front of the large map. The museum also uses several dVision 30sx+ XB models for small theaters through out the facility as well as the museum’s entryway that greets visitors with Grammy award highlights. Lastly the museum features a large scale 200 seat sound stage that uses a TITAN 1080p-700 projector to deliver beautiful images regardless of the ambient light on stage.
