Samsung Announces MBP200 Projector will be Released in May

The Samsung MBP200 was one of the most talked about projectors during CES in January. Lately, is has been released that Samsung plans to release this little projector sometime in May in Europe. The MBP200 is Samsung’s first attempt at a pico projector and it features a HVGA (480 x 320) resolution and the latest in micro DLP display technology. The projector weighs less than half a pound and measures 1.9″ x 0.7″ x 4.2″ (W x H x D). This model is unique because it is the first pico projector to feature a touch screen that has a QVGA (320 x 240) resolution. The touch screen allows the user to easily scroll through files and be able to privately choose the correct file with out having to display it on the screen. The projector comes with a Micro SD card slot for the maximum portability as well as a head phone jack for when you want to watch video with out disturbing others around you. The projector can support a wide array of picture, music, and video formats and can display them onto a display as big as 50 inches, measured diagonally. When the MBP200 is released it will also come with a miniature screen stand that can hold any 8.5″ x 11″ piece of paper to use as a screen. The estimated retail price for the MBP200 is around 499 Euros ($638). Unfortunately, there is no word yet when the MBP200 will be available in the USA.
