Dr. Manhattan Comes to London Thanks to the World’s Biggest Water Screen Projector

This weekend is the long awaited premier of Watchmen and to help advertise the movie, Dr. Manhattan will be making a guest appearance tonight over the River Thames. The blue-skinned superhero will be projected with the help of the world’s biggest water screen projector. The water screen itself will measure at an impressive 72 feet high and 100 feet across. The event is expected to take place at around 8 pm and will be situated between the London Eye and The Shell Building. Paramount Pictures was quoted to say, “Specially created, never to be seen again Watchmen footage, will be projected onto the screen to showcase Dr. Manhattan’s translucent and shimmering form in dramatic and gigantic effect – this really will be an excellent and exciting medium to see Dr. Manhattan in all his super human glory; and to watch him hover over the city in true Watchmen style!” This promotion, although might be the biggest, is not the first of it’s kind. Last year the Loch Ness Monster made a surprise appearance in Japan to promote Sony Pictures’ Water Horse: Legend of the Deep.
