Panasonic Releases Four D6000 Series Projectors

Panasonic is pleased to announce the release of four brand new projectors. The D6000 series projectors feature DLP display technology, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and are designed to shine in rooms with an abundance of ambient light. The new projectors use a dual lamp system and an automatic air filter system that can detect clogs and scroll to a fresh filter sheet. These two systems allow the projector to have less maintenance sessions and longer displaying periods. In addition, all for models have the option of shipping with or without the standard lens.
First in line is the PT-DZ6710 projector. This model is the flagship of the series and features 6000 ANSI lumens and a WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio. This model offers a “geometric adjustment” function that can project images onto non-planar surfaces like spheres, cones domes, or other symmetrically curved screens. This function is paired with the edge blending feature that helps smooth rough or blurred edges in the display.
Next is the PT-DZ6700 projector that features the same brightness and resolution as the DZ6710 model. The only major difference is that this projector does not have an HD BNC connection. Instead, the DZ6700 has a DVI-D, 5BNC, RGB, and an s-video connection. It also has LAN connectivity for easy control.
Scaling down a little, there is the PT-DW6300S model that displays WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution and 6000 ANSI lumens. This projector is a little more versatile when it comes to projector placement and features a vertical and horizontal lens shift, and a vertical keystone adjustment.
Lastly there is the PT-D6000S. Fitted with a slightly bigger display panel, this model features XGA (1024 x 768) resolution and 6500 ANSI lumens. The projector comes with all the connection options as the DZ6700.
Panasonic Projectors unveil new PT-D6000 series at ISE 2009
Panasonic Projectors unveiled the latest addition to the range at ISE 2009 with the new PT-D6000 1 chip DLP projector series, making its first public appearance in Amsterdam.
The new PT-D6000 1 chip DLP projector series consists of four different models, the PT-DZ6710E, PT-DZ6700E, PT-DW6300E and the PT-D6000E to complete a range of high-performance projectors that offer between 6,000 and 6,500 lumens of brightness.
As the ideal solution for installations that require up to 24 hours a day / 7 days a week performance, the PT-D6000 projectors are extremely durable due to their DLP toughness, their dual lamp system and an Auto Cleaning Filter that all help ensure a long lifetime. The Auto Cleaning Filter (ACF) is a completely new feature that is based on an air filter tape contained inside a cartridge. Once the filter tape section has become dirty, it is automatically rolled forward to the next clean position. In addition, the spooled part of the tape is cleaned by a brush. This unique technology ensures much smoother and maintenance-free operation of the projector. For new owners of the projectors, ACF truly represents a powerful weapon in combating dust.
The PT-DZ6710E represents the “flagship” model of the D6000 series. Beside its extremely high resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels that natively supports Full HD (16:9) & UXGA (4:3), this model also offers a “geometric adjustment” feature, as well as a built-in HD-SDI video input. The “geometric adjustment” function is needed to project images onto non-planar surfaces, like spheres, cones, domes or other symmetrically curved screens (e.g. 360° panoramic projection in a barrel or drum type screen alignment). Its so-called “edge blending” feature is of great benefit to those interested in creating one huge picture using several individual projections without having to reveal the seams. Furthermore, HD-SDI is a professional high quality video signal input that ensures the best possible picture quality.
Eco-friendly
This range of new Panasonic projectors is also the first to offer stand-by power consumption of under 0.5 watts. Furthermore, as part of the ongoing environmental program at Panasonic, the company relies on manufacturing methods that minimize the impact of manufacturing on the environment. Panasonic has voluntarily banned the use of certain hazardous substances (such as lead, cadmium and mercury) in compliance with the criteria of the EU RoHS Directive. In addition, no polyethylene is used in packaging materials. For more information visit: www.panasonic-projectors.com
