Dell M109S Projector Review

The Dell M109S is one of their smallest models. The projector displays 50 ANSI lumens, an 800:1 contrast ratio, and SVGA (858 x 600) resolution. Recently, PC Pro released their review of the little projector. One of the highlights about this projector is that it uses actual VGA and component connections. Smaller projectors tend to use cable adapters that can sometime have problems. One of the major problems with this projector is a common one found in most portable projectors, being that the accessories take away from its portability. Even though the M109S is shrunk down to the size of a standard novel, the power cord and connection cables add unwanted troubles. Another problem that the writer mentioned was that he thought the projector wasn’t bright enough. The 50 ANSI lumens are much brighter than most pocket projectors, but it is still to see vivid pictures in moderately lit rooms. In all, the projector was very much a disappointment to the writer as they commented, “It all goes to prove that the pico projector is a product type still very much in its infancy. And though the M109S is an interesting technological talking point, we certainly wouldn’t recommend anyone shell out the (rather steep) £329 asking price.”
