Screen Excellence is one of the leading manufacturers of high performance screens. Recently they announced the release of the Enlightor 4K, which is the world’s first acoustically transparent projection screen material designed specifically for commercial D-Cinema 4K projectors. Acoustically transparent screen materials allow the theater’s front speakers to be positioned behind the screen in order to hide them from view and create a “suspension of disbelief.” The material is specifically designed to allow sound to pass through the screen with sounding muffled or dulled. In addition, the Enlightor 4K does not compromise screen quality or show any discernible holes or weave patterns. The screen can be ordered in sizes between 70 and 250 inches, measured diagonally. The retail price for the Enlightor 4K screen starts at $840.
