Barco Creates Visualization System with New Galaxy NH-12 Projector

Daimler AG is one of the world’s leading car manufacturers. Recently they asked Barco to design and create a brand new visualization system for their facility in Sindelfingen. Barco took this opportunity to use their newest projector, the Galaxy NH-12, and created a high-end six-channel display system. The Galaxy NH-12 features 12000 ANSI lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. In addition, this projector is capable of displaying both 2D and 3D images. One of the reasons this model was selected was for the 3-chip DLP display technology which delivers unparalleled high quality with no possibility of a rainbow effect. Also, the projector has edge blending technology that allows projectors to overlap to create one continuous image with out blurriness or other obvious signs of a multi projector setup. The new visualization display allows Daimler to have exterior and interior design reviews as well as an analysis and presentation of both monoscopic and 3D stereo visuals. Barco also announced that the created a second, and much smaller display, that will be used for flexible visualization of additional design reviews and presentation. Barco has fitted the smaller display with their older, but still impressive, NH-12 projector, which shares the same brightness, resolution and contrast ratio as the Galaxy NH-12.
