Canon Releases XEED SX800 Projector

Last week you may have heard about the Canon REALiS SX800 projector that was designed to be a high end portable projector. This week, Canon is releasing their XEED SX800 projector, which is the same as the REALiS model, but it is only available in Europe and Asia. The SX800 features 3000 ANSI lumens, a 900:1 contrast ratio, and SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) resolution. This model is relatively light for its power, weighing only 11 lbs. The SX800 uses three LCoS display panels, which delivers high resolution images that don’t suffer from the “screen door effect” that lesser LCD projector do. This projector comes with a short throw lens that is able to display a 300 inch image from less than 30 feet away. The lens also features a 1.5x powered zoom/focus lens, while the projector features a 12x digital zoom feature. The SX800 also comes with an automatic setup feature which detects the input source and adjusts the screen automatically.
