ViewSonic Displays PJD6220-3D Projector at CES 09

ViewSonic is one of the many companies displaying this week at CES. But they are the first ones to announce that they are displaying a 3D projector. The PJD6220-3D features 2200 ANSI lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. This model is one of the first 3D projectors that are designed specifically for home theaters. The PJD6220 uses DLP display technology with BrilliantColor to provide stunning vibrant colors. In addition, the projector has an integrated 10 watt audio system and provides a blur-free 3D experience. “The DLP chip is the best option to deliver superior 3D as it has the fastest response rate of any available imaging technology for producing blur-free images at an unprecedented rate,” said Doug Darrow, brand and marketing manager of Texas Instruments DLP. “We’re excited to have ViewSonic as one of the first projection manufacturers to bring the third dimension from the movie theater to the living room.” The PJD6220-3D will be available in February for the suggested retail price of $1499, but you can see it this weekend at CES in the Bellagio Ballroom 6 as part of ViewSonic’s new FuHzion series.
