Samsung Displays MBP200 Pico Projector at CES 09

Samsung has recently announced that they too are joining the pocket projector industry with their newest projector, the MBP200. This model looks like a cell phone, but don’t be deceived. This projector can display images up to 50 inches, diagonally with a HVGA (480 x 320) resolution and DLP display technology. This is one of the first models that also have a little 2.2 inch LCD screen that allows you to access your files and menu options with out having them display on the screen. The MBP200 weighs only 0.3 lbs and measures in at 1.9″ x 0.7″ x 4.2″ (W x H x D). Instead of an internal memory, the projector has a MicroSD card slot that can use cards that can hold up to 16 Gb of space. The MBP200 can play not only picture and video, but can also play audio from movies, or MP3s. This projector would make a perfect companion to any cell phone or mobile device. Unfortunately, Samsung is not releasing it until later this year. However you can see it in action this week at CES at booth 11033 in the central hall.
