Hitachi Displays CP-A100 and CP-X10000 Projectors at CES 09

Among all the companies on the floor for CES is Hitachi and they are displaying two of their best projectors, the popular CP-A100 and the CP-X10000. The CP-A100 has been around for a while but it is a useful tool for educators. This model features 2500 ANSI lumens, a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, and a 500:1 contrast ratio. The key feature with the A100 is its incredible throw distance. The A100 is capable of displaying a 100 inch image, measured diagonally, from a distance of 3.2 feet. This feature is vital because it allows the educator to display images onto the screen with out having the projector shinning in their eyes. It also reduces the amount of distracting shadows that appear on the screen. The CP-X10000 is one of Hitachi’s newest projectors and it features 7500 ANSI lumens, a 2500:1 contrast ratio, and XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. This model is more designed for home theaters and large venues and can display images up to 700 inches, diagonally. The X10000 comes with a wide variety of connections, including two RGB inputs, a HDMI, 5BNC, DVI-D, composite, component, and an s-video connection. This model also has six optional lenses to choose from that vary between short and long throw distances.
