Epson Ensemble Is Awarded Product of the Year Award
Even though last year was a rough one for everyone, many good things came from it. The writers at E-Gear have taken a look back at all the great devices that came in 2008 and comprised a list of the top 40 devices. Toping the list and receiver of the product of the year award is the Epson Ensemble HD Home Theater System Kit. This package comes with everything you need, including a 100 inch screen, a complete sound system, DVD player, a ceiling mount, and the PowerLite Home Cinema 1080 UB projector. This model has been one of Epson’s best home theater projectors and features 1600 ANSI lumens, a 50000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The kit comes with everything you need to set up your home theater and Epson also included professional installers to setup the theater system for you. One of the most remarkable parts of the Ensemble is its really low retail price of about $7000. Also on the list were two other home theater projectors, the Sony VPL-VW40 and the JVC DLA-HD100.
The Sony VPL-VW40 features 900 ANSI lumens, a 15000:1 contrast ratio, and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. This projector is part of Sony’s popular BRAVIA series and was number ten on the top 40 list. The VW40 comes with many connection possibilities, including HDMI, s-video, composite, component, and RGB. This model also features a 22 dB noise level for undisturbed viewing.
The JVC DLA-HD100 is number 34 on the list, and it features 600 ANSI lumens, full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, and a 30000:1 contrast ratio. This model features the latest in D-ILA display technology and can display images up to 200 inches diagonally. In addition, the HD100 comes with two HDMI ports for all your HD needs, as well as a RCA, s-video, composite, and audio connection.
