3M got some recognition today for their portable MPro110 projector as it was listed as one of the nine new travel tools to use in 2009 by MSNbc. The MPro110 features VGA (640 x 480) resolution, an 80:1 contrast ratio, and LCoS display technology. This model was the first of a wave of pocket projectors to come into the projector industry. The projector uses LED lights to projector onto any flat surface up to 50 inches diagonally. The LED lights have an extra long lamp life and can run for up to 10000 hours. The MPro110 comes with two connection slots, a VGA port and a composite port. This model also comes with an internal battery that is estimated to run for about 60 minutes before recharging, which is long enough for a decent presentation. The beast part of this projector is its size, weighing only 3 ounces, and measuring 4.5″ x 2.0″ x 4.5″ (W x H x D). The MPro110 is available for a suggested retail price of $350.
