Digital Projection Makes Polar Express 4D Experience Magical

Dollywood is a theme park created by the famous country singer, Dolly Parton. Recently they announced the grand opening of their newest attraction, The Polar Express 4-D Experience. This new attraction takes you through the popular children book as you follow a young boy on his trip to the North Pole. The show is made possibly with the help of two Digital Projection LIGHTNING 45HD-3D projectors. These projectors features a 2000:1 contrast ratio, a 2048 x 1080 resolution, 30000 ANSI lumens, and can display 3D images. The screen used for the ride is a 63 foot x 34 foot screen that is slightly curved and has been treated with a metallic 3D surface coating that will enhance the 3D effect. The fourth dimension of this ride is created by having guests sit in motion seats that blow scents at the guests to let them smell what the characters smell. “This Christmas, I’m inviting families to take a spectacular holiday journey where dreams become real, and everybody knows I dream bigger than just about anybody else,” says Dolly Parton. “On the Polar Express 4-D Experience, all you have to do is believe, and I sure do.”
