Sony Announces VPL-GH10 Projector

Sony has announced their first projector specifically designed for simulation and industrial visualization markets, the VPL-GH10. This projector uses the latest in SXRD display technology, which is Sony’s own design of LCD panels. The GH10 will also display full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and feature Sony’s unique Motionflow high frame technology. This technology helps identify and remove blurry images from fast motion content. In addition, the GH10 comes with a 1.6x zoom lens that features a horizontal and vertical shift function. The connections for this projector are scarce but we do know it has a DVI connection as well as a LAN connection for Ethernet networking. Andre Floyd, marketing manager for SXRD systems at Sony Electronics, said, “These technologies will allow the creation of more realistic simulations and training imagery, enhancing the effectiveness of simulation and training programs.” Sony has not yet released a price or a date that the VPL-GH10 will be released.
