Sim2 Multimedia has recently announced the release of their newest home theater projector the C3X LUMIS HOST. This projector features 3000 ANSI lumens, a 35000:1 contrast ratio, and not one but three DarkChip4 DLP display panels. The projector comes with an external video processor and connection panel that Sim2 calls the HOST (High-Definition Optical Signal Transfer). The host comes with up to six HDMI inputs as well as a RGB, composite, component, s-video, and DVI connection. The connection between the HOST and the LUMIS projector is made with three fiber optic wires, which means that the projector and processor can be up to 250 meters (over 800 feet) apart and the signal will never suffer. The C3X LUMIS HOST is not expected to come out until sometime in late December and it is expected to retail for about £25k (about $37350).
