Mitsubishi has announced the release of the MH2850U projector. This model is able to display 3100 ANSI lumens, a 600:1 contrast ratio, and SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) resolution. This projector comes equipped with both Clearbase and Bluebase DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) simulation modes. These two modes offer accurate detail and great color depth for intensely detailed images required in X-ray graphics as well as CAT scans, MRIs and other medical imaging applications. The MH2850U also comes with a variety of connections for any situation, including 2 RGB, a DVI, RCA, and an s-video connection. “The MH2850U is the ideal projection solution for medical schools that require affordable projectors for high-resolution images with detail and clarity,” said Wayne Kozuki, product manager, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Product Division. “And with optional lenses, this portable projector can be easily set up in small briefing rooms or larger classrooms.” The MH2850U is currently available through the Mitsubishi website, and currently retails for the suggested retail price of $9995.
