Optoma Releases Pico Projector in UK

After months of hearing about it, the Optoma Pico projector is finally starting to be released. Recently, it was announced that the Pico projector is now available in the UK. The Pico features a native 480 x 320 resolution, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and about 9 ANSI lumens. This model also uses DLP display technology that was provided by Texas Instruments and a LED light source that is good for about 20000 hours. The projector allows you to set the lamp to full power or half power to save battery power, but unfortunately, both modes require a dark room to show quality images. The Pico comes with only an A/V input connection that allows you to connect it to your PC, laptop, or any mobile device that supports video content. The projector also has a USB power connection that allows you to charge the internal battery with your PC or laptop. Optoma still plans to release the Pico globally by the end of the month. The suggested retail price is £249 ($400).
