Which HD Resolution is Best?
Everyone who knows about HD resolution knows that there are two versions, the 720p HD (1280 x 720) resolution and full 1080p HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. But which resolution is better for your home? It is true that 1080p HD resolution has a superior display and shows video with detail that you could never see before. The downside about full HD resolution is that you can only see the full effect while watching Blu-ray discs. If you watch a common DVD on a 1080p HD screen, the resolution will look almost identical to the image on a 720p HD screen. The same goes for when you try to watch HD cable, because cable TV stations are limited to 720 lines per frame. However, prime time television is able to show 1080i, which give 1080p resolution a better image but not by much. The biggest advantage to 720p HD resolution is that the price for these types projectors are starting to drop into a price range that is affordable, making 720p HD resolution the ideal choice for the price conscious consumer.
