Epoq Releases EPP-HH01 Pocket Projector

With the growing popularity of pocket projectors, several new manufacturers have releasing their versions of the mini devices. Epoq Multimedia is the newest manufacturer to release their pocket, the EPP-HH01. This model is not very powerful, featuring 7 ANSI lumens, an 80:1 contrast ratio, and VGA (640 x 480) resolution. The HH01 uses LCoS display technology and a 3 watt LED lamp to display video. The projector is about the size of a hen’s egg, measuring 1.6″ x 2.2″ x 2.2″ (W x H x D). There is no word yet as to how much this projector weighs, but judging from the extremely small design, it probably doesn’t weight more than a pound or two. The HH01 comes with A/V composite connections as well as a mini 0.5 watt mono speaker. This device would be excellent for on the fly business presentations and can connect to a variety of video devices such as video game consoles, computers, DVD players, cameras, portable media players, and even an iPod. The EPP-HH01 is currently available and retails for just under $230. Epoq also plans to release another pocket projector that will have an SD card slot later this month. More information about that model as it becomes available.
