Casio Releases Super Slim Projector Quartet

Casio has announced today the release of four new projectors that will be available through the Casio website. The XJ-S32, XJ-S37, XJ-S42, and XJ-S47 projectors all feature a super slim design that weighs less than 4 lbs each. They also all have the latest DLP display technology as well as an 1800:1 contrast ratio and XGA (1024 x 768) resolution.

The XJ-S32 is the baby of the group, featuring 2300 ANSI lumens. This projector has an RGB, composite, and a few audio outputs. The good thing about being the baby of the group is that it is the cheapest, priced at $1099.

Next is the XJ-S37 projector and it features the same 2300 ANSI lumens as the S32. The major improvement is that this model has a USB port for “PC-Free” presentations. This feature is ideal for any traveling presenter that needs to watch the weight of the bags. The retail price for the S37 is just under $1200.

The XJ-S42 features a brighter 2700 ANSI lumen output. The downside is that this projector does not have the USB port that the S37 has. This projector is able to create displays as small as 15 inches, diagonally, or as large as 300 inches, diagonally, before the image starts to suffer. This model is a little pricier than the other two, retailing for $1299.

Lastly there is the XJ-S47 projector. This model has all the best features of the previous three models. It has 2700 ANSI lumens and the USB port for “PC-Free” presentations. In addition, the S47 has wireless IEEE802.11b connectivity for networking capabilities. The XJ-S47 is the most expensive of the group with a $1399 price tag.
