InFocus Play Big X10 Projector Review

InFocus has recently announced the release of their newest home theater projectors the Play Big X10. This model features a 2500:1 contrast ratio, full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and 1200 ANSI lumens. It uses a DarkChip1 DLP chipset, provided by Texas Instruments and BrilliantColor Technology for eye-catching HD accuracy. Recently the writers at AV Hub received the X10 projector to see how good it really is. One of the first things mentioned was that the X10 has a wide variety of features; one unique feature allows the projector to detect when it is being flipped upside down for a ceiling mount and automatically corrects the image. The X10’s performance was more than what the writers expected. At first there were a few problems with calibrating but once all that was figured out the projector delivered outstanding HD images. The only problem was that the writer thought that the black levels weren’t as rich as they could be and the X10 did have a hint of the infamous DLP “rainbow effect”, but none of these problems deterred the writer from enjoying the projector. The final thought about the X10 was, “This projector really impressed, with a lovely image in full high definition, large and sharp. And it worked with all my gear. Best of all, it did this for well under $4000. If you are after a budget full-HD projector and are considering an LCD, you may well find this projector more to your taste.”
