BenQ Announces Possibility of Pico Projector Netbook

Pico Projectors are already starting to be used in phones and other mini hand held devices. But what else can they be built into? BenQ talked yesterday, during a press release, about some of the many uses Pico projectors could provide. The Pico projectors that BenQ are using are provided by Texas Instrument and are the same ones that are used in the Toshiba and Optoma pocket projectors. One of the major ideas, BenQ wants to develop, is having projectors built into laptops and other PCs. This integration would be perfect for traveling presenters who need to travel light because it would eliminate the need to bring a bulky projector and all the cables to connect it to their computer. In addition, BenQ announced that they are currently working on a projector phone and a netbook with a built-in projector, but neither of them are expected to go main stream for “Several Years”.
