NEC has recently announced the release of the NP600J portable projector. This model is the same as the NP600 projector that was released last month; however, the NP600J is only available in Japan. The NP600J features 3500 ANSI lumens, a 500:1 contrast ratio and a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. This projector weighs only 6.6 lbs and is small enough to be carried virtually anywhere. The NP600J comes with a RGB, DVI, RCA, and an s-video input as well as two RCA audio and two PC audio connections. This projector can even connect to the Ethernet via a LAN connection. In addition the NP600J is packed with features including closed captioning, a Kensington lock slot, sleep timer, Eco Mode, and a virtual remote control. The NP600J will be available next week and will retail for 365,400 Yen ($3576).
