Mitsubishi has recently announced that they are releasing the HC7000 and HC6500 projectors. Both models are good examples of what a quality home theater projectors should be. They equally have full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and 3LCD display technology. The HC6500 features a 15000:1 contrast ratio and 1200 ANSI lumens, which is perfect for dimly lit rooms. The HC7000 is a little more powerful with 1000 ANSI lumens and an impressive 75000:1 contrast ratio. Both models are equipped with a newly developed Diamond Black Iris that is able to display true black level even during sequences of continual bright-to-dark scene intervals. In addition, the HC6500 and HC7000 each come with dual HDMI connections for all your high definition needs as well as a RGB, composite, component, and an s-video connection. The retail price for the HC6500 is $2495 and the HC7000 is priced at $3995.
